At 13:21 on the 10 th, a private textile factory in Chaoyang South Road, Haian County, Nantong, was struck by lightning. The Haian fire squadron quickly dispatched 5 fire engines after receiving the alarm, and 17 fire officers and soldiers rushed to the scene to put out the fire.

The squadron arrived at the scene at 5:26, when the whole workshop was filled with smoke. After preliminary observation, the fire officers and soldiers found that they could not enter the fire field at all. Only a spray water gun could disperse the smoke, so that they could go in to find the fire source.

5 minutes later, the Fire Scout spotted the location of the fire at the northwest corner of the train.

When the firefighters were preparing to get out of the water, the factory owners strongly prevented the firefighters from fighting with water, saying that it would increase the factory's losses and only use fire extinguishers to fight them out.

After investigation, the fire was initially caused by lightning hitting the aging wire in the workshop and causing a fire.
