Common faults of sewing machines and their treatment methods


  

Sewing machine

In the course of using, many faults can be solved simply on the working face, and there is no need to ask mechanic to make a big fight. For example, toggle the switch, or even replace the machine needle once. If it works, it can avoid long time stoppage and cause the mess on the working face due to dismantling.


1. Sudden stop in sewing; power indicator light is bright, but hand wheel is heavy.


Possible reasons (hereinafter referred to as "cause"): sewing machine works at a low speed for a long time; the overheating of the machine may cause the motor power to shut down automatically.


Solution (hereinafter referred to as "solution"): turn off the power and wait for 20 minutes, the safety device will be restarted, the sewing machine is ready to start work.


2, do not take the needle.


Reason: the line is used up; the presser foot is not lowered; the spindle is not in the right place.


Solution: replace the empty axis and reconfirm the needle; put down the presser foot; press the spindle to the left; reduce the buttonhole lever.


3, sewing machines are going to stop.


Cause: presser foot mismatch or machine needle impact presser foot; needle drop off and clip into hook.


Solution: replace presser foot; remove machine needle and install new needle.


4, face line

Broken line


Reasons: improper way on line; thread knot; excessive line tension; machine needle bending, blunt point or sand hole; machine needle type is not compatible; machine needle placement is not appropriate; needle line mismatch; sewing initial speed is too fast; thread without thread pick up.


Solution: re normal line; eliminate online knot; adjust the clamp pressure; replace machine needle; replace the appropriate size of the machine needle; properly set the needle; replace or replace the needle; start sewing machine at medium speed; check the on-line steps.


5. Bottom line break.


The reason is that the shuttle core is not completely inserted into the shuttle shell; the core of the shuttle is thread wound; the core of the shuttle is not running smoothly in the shuttle shell; there is yarn in the shuttle shell or shuttle.


Solution: carefully reload the shuttle core into the shuttle shell; arrange the shuttle outlet; check the damaged core; clean the shuttle case and the shuttle core.


6. Jumper


Cause: excessive line tension; mechanical bending or blunt; machine needle type is not correct; needle line mismatch; line has not passed through the take-up rod; presser foot pressure is not enough; machine needle improper placement.


Solution: adjust line tension; replace machine needles; choose proper size machine needles; replace machine needles or lines; check thread steps; increase presser foot pressure; reattach needles.


7. The stitch is out of order.


Cause: the machine line is not completely pulled into the sensor; the thread is not in the right way; the shuttle shell is out of line; the size of the spool cap does not match.


Solution: the machine line is fully pulled into the sensor, correctly threaded, corrected the outlet of the shuttle, and replaced the spool cap with the same size.


8. Thread confusion.


The reason is: the machine needle type is not compatible; the on-line steps are wrong; the clamping plate is slack; the strong pulling cloth is caused by; the presser foot strength is insufficient or completely relaxed; the shuttle core deformation.


Solution: select the needle suitable for thread and cloth; re line the machine; tighten the thread clipping device; do not pull the cloth lightly and slowly feed; tighten or reinstall the presser foot; rewind the shuttle core.


9, fabric wrinkle


The reason is: the needle is too large for the specific fabric; the needle is passivated; the line tension is not suitable; the foot force is not enough; the cloth is too light; the line diameter and material difference between the surface line and the bottom line are caused.


Solution: small stitches; replace machine needles; adjust line tension; increase presser foot pressure; use thin lining paper; surface line and bottom line use homogenous line diameter.


10, stranded wire


Cause: the face line and the bottom line are not pressed; the feed teeth sink.


Solution: face line bottom line at the same time press foot; lifting feed tooth.


11, broken needle


Reason: fine needle sewing thick material; inadequate machine needle installation; loosening of machine needle fasteners; improper selection of presser feet; loosening of presser feet.


Solution: change suitable machine needle; reinstall machine needle; tighten needle to fix gong wire; choose suitable presser foot; reinstall presser foot.


12, excessive noise, the sound of card, the machine run over.


Reasons: Sundry filling, feeding teeth, spindle tip yarn, thread wound shuttle.


Solution: clean the machine; disassemble the machine and clean the shuttles.


13, the machine does not feed.


Reason: set the stitch length to 0; the presser foot is too loose; the location of the feeding teeth is too low; the lower thread of the fabric is knotted.


Solution: reset the appropriate stitching pattern and length; adjust presser pressure to "normal"; lift feeding teeth; double line is placed below presser feet before sewing.


14, unable to machine needle

Threading

A threading device does not act; thread hooks do not enter the needle.


The reason is: the needle is not at the highest position; when the needle is not in position, the self protection of the needle detector is not enough; the needle is not fully installed.


Solution: rotate the handwheel until the needle reaches the highest position; insert the machine needle completely.


15. The thread threader does not return to the place, the sewing machine stops; the thread hooks stay in the needle eye.


Reason: sewing thread is still in the needle eyes when sewing machine accident.


Solution: move the handwheel clockwise and remove the hook.
