But in fact, Zhenxing village is only a small number of small silkworm breeding villages. Hengxian and other Guangxi silkworm areas in the south, on the whole, the rate of small silkworm breeding is not high, and the use of grid clusters is not large. Most silkworms take materials locally and use flower clusters to meet the shortage of local labor force.

Another major economic crop in Hengxian is jasmine, while there are jasmine fields in the old Wei family. However, the competitive relationship between jasmine and silkworm is not strong.

"Jasmine is more affected by the weather than silkworms. When the price is good, 1 jin can sell 4 yuan, mu yield 2500 Jin, and the income is 10 thousand yuan.

But when the price is bad, it sells more than 1 yuan, and picking jasmine is more artificial than picking silkworms, picking time is more exquisite. Only sunny day is suitable for picking and selling immediately, so we are more willing to grow mulberry silkworms compared with the silkworm with good price in the past two years.
