The reporter learned from the Inner Mongolia entry exit inspection and quarantine bureau that in 2008, the export of Inner Mongolia cashmere sweater was the lowest since the abolition of textile quota.

As the largest pastoral area in the country, the annual output of cashmere and cashmere sweaters in Inner Mongolia ranks first in the country, and is one of the most important livestock products exported to Inner Mongolia.

However, affected by the RMB appreciation and the global financial crisis, in 2008, Inner Mongolia exported 2862 batches and 5 million 459 thousand pieces of cashmere sweaters and sweaters, and the export volume decreased by 2 million 800 thousand compared to the same period last year, a drop of 33.8%.

At the same time, the total export value of Inner Mongolia cashmere sweaters and sweaters last year was only 1 billion 972 million yuan, down 27% compared with the same period last year. Cashmere sweaters and woolen sweaters have also become the largest textile products with the largest drop in export value in Inner Mongolia.

According to statistics from Inner Mongolia entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the export market of cashmere sweaters in Inner Mongolia last year was still dominated by Japan, the United States, the European Union, Russia, South Korea and the Hongkong special economic zone of China.

Among them, exports to Japan and the United States were the largest, with a drop of 56.3% and 31.8% respectively.
