Pakistan Textile New Deal Will Be Introduced
After consultation with all textile industry agreements, the Ministry of textiles of Pakistan will submit a report to the prime minister, and the new textile policy may be introduced in the first quarter of 2009. The textile industry is a major export oriented industry in Pakistan. The government of Pakistan has a crucial position. The government does everything in its power to support the textile industry in its current recession. This is a speech delivered by the Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, a Pakistan textile Ministry consultant, at the dinner hosted by the president of the association of compressed natural gas owners.
Baig believes that it is time for electric power suppliers, manufacturers and other oil and gas stakeholders and the textile industry to consider the current crisis facing the textile industry and discuss solutions.
The Ministry of textile industry calls for the formulation of strategies not only to meet the requirements of the current textile industry, but also to avoid further deterioration of the future situation.
