Quanzhou'S Foreign Trade Competitiveness Ranks 36Th Nationwide, And Its Structural Competitiveness Ranks 13Th
A few days ago, China Customs magazine released the "2007 Ranking List of China's Cities' Foreign Trade Competitiveness" and announced the top 100 cities in China's foreign trade in 2007. Quanzhou ranked 36th from 44th in 2006. Yesterday, Quanzhou Customs said that the improvement of our city's ranking indicates that our foreign trade competitiveness has been strengthened.
It is reported that the "Ranking List of China's Urban Foreign Trade Competitiveness" is composed of five secondary indicators, including horizontal competitiveness, structural competitiveness, benefit competitiveness, development competitiveness and potential competitiveness, and 24 tertiary indicators. According to the relevant person in charge of Quanzhou Customs, the promotion of the city's ranking is mainly due to the fact that the city's structural competitiveness has entered the top 30, ranking 13th, and it is the only city in our province that has entered the top 20 in structural competitiveness. This shows that the foreign trade structure of our city is relatively reasonable, the technical content of export products has been improved, the ability of product development and market development is strong, the diversification of products and markets is wide, and the ability to cope with risks and resist external shocks is strong.
At the same time, the person in charge also said that although our city has not entered the mandatory list of 30 in the other four secondary indicators this time, there is still much room for development and potential, so some measures can be taken to improve it.
Quanzhou Customs suggested that our city should further give play to the geographical advantages of Haixi, increase economic and trade cooperation with Taiwan, speed up the construction of infrastructure such as energy and transportation, integrate and optimize port functions, enhance the attractiveness, radiation and comprehensive service capacity of surrounding areas, expand the radiation range to the central and western regions, and give full play to the geographical advantages of Haixi, which is "connecting the north with the south, connecting the east with the west", Promote the balance of import and export, reduce the trade surplus, and accelerate the transformation from "big supply market" to "big export market" to improve the level of competitiveness.
Since our foreign trade is dominated by traditional low value-added industries such as textiles and clothing, shoes and hats packaging, and the homogeneity of enterprises among industries is relatively high, which results in low foreign trade benefits in our city. Therefore, our city should accelerate the development of high value-added high-tech industries such as photoelectric energy, ships, textile machinery, and actively introduce large, efficient, strong driving force, low resource consumption Key projects such as leading projects, backbone projects and high-end manufacturing projects that can play a supporting and radiating role will improve the city's ability to earn foreign exchange through exports and thus improve its efficiency and competitiveness.
The development competitiveness is composed of four three-level indicators, namely, the average equipment import volume of foreign-invested enterprises, the actual utilization of foreign capital per capita, the proportion of enterprises entering the top 500 foreign trade enterprises, and the import and export share of special regulatory regions
