US Scientists Develop Smart Clothes To Detect Abuse And Robbery.

Recently, Massachusetts Institute of Technology technical expert Adam Avedon and designer Olita Nugent jointly created a wearable system to detect violent pushes, maltreatment, assault and even robbery, thereby helping victims to provide historical evidence of injury. The computers equipped can also provide suitable treatment options.

Wearable systems can detect violent pushes, abuse, assault and even robbery.

The harm is everywhere. According to the Centers for Disease Control and prevention, there are about 8 million 500 thousand incidents of domestic violence in the United States every year.

"The only evidence now is evidence of injury and eyewitness testimony."

Avedon said.

The prototype of the system is a Hooded Coat with a large fiber pressure sensor sewn in the gasket.

The sensors are distributed in 8 positions, including the upper chest, stomach, forearm, and so on. The pressure intensity and mode from outside are measured separately.

Witton met with the victims and received many feedback information about the idea. After improvement, the volunteers were allowed to simulate the process of being beaten.

They found some interesting facts.

For example, the most vulnerable part of the body is forearm.

Victims are usually caught with their wrists or their arms on their faces.

"When we linked the medical records of the victims with the police records, we found that the forearm was most seriously injured."

Avedon said.

The researchers also found that the duration of the injury was related to violence.

For example, some victims lied about hitting the door or falling.

But the accident lasts only one or two seconds, and violence usually lasts for many seconds or even many minutes.

"This is what they really are using this technology."

Maksim, an IC card designer of a technology company in Italy, said, "it's smart to use wearable tools to detect attacks."

It's just that this kind of dress is fashionable, it doesn't look like a computer at all, but it should be fashion, "he said.

Besides providing protection for victims, this smart clothing can also provide care for children and the elderly, and can monitor the situation of children and elderly people being taken care of.

This smart clothing can also be combined with computers and AI, which can analyze data and actively talk with victims.

Although this is not a cure, it can encourage people to face pain.
