Eurozone Textile Orders Rose 1.7 In February

Eurozone data released on the 23 day showed that industrial orders in the euro area increased by 0.6% in February compared with the previous month, an increase of 9.9% compared with the same period last year.


Data show that in February this year, the euro area electrical and electronic equipment orders increased by 1.8% compared with January, textile orders increased by 1.7%, orders for chemical products increased by 1.1%, metal and metal finished products orders increased by 0.8%, and orders for pport equipment and machinery and equipment orders decreased by 0.2%.


In February, Germany's industrial orders in the euro zone's largest economy fell by 0.3% compared with last month, while France's industrial orders increased by 1%.


According to the revised figures, industrial orders in the euro area increased by 2.2% in January compared with the previous month, an increase of 7.1% over the same period last year.


Data also showed that the 27 European countries' industrial orders in February were unchanged from the previous month, an increase of 9.2% over the same period last year.
